I'm Just Not That Into You...

Sometimes...
Love isn't an easy path...Seems like it can be a hit and miss.
So let's be honest.
Sometimes, just sometimes. I betcha that you wish that you had never heard of the stupid "L" word, (it can be either:"love", "like" or even "lust") -because thinking about those feelings and the associated person are enough to drive you crazy.
These feelings. It's like every free moment is used up just thinking about them, just picturing their face. It's like a drug addiction...Only, less messy. [What was it somebody said about drugs? "It's like setting your head on fire and trying to put it out with gasoline."]

And just to make things worse, on top of all this obsession, you're not completely sure if they are actually "into" you. So when you do find out how they feel about you and the answer isn't what you want...
What can you do?

You think to yourself: all that time you've used up thinking about them, could have easily been spent doing something actually useful. Like, sleeping, eating, singing along to Taylor Swift. Whatever.

Honesty is a funny thing then. It can suck!!
-- Which is why it is preceded by words such as "brutal" and "painful"

...
*Sigh*

So the message behind this [crazy, bitter?] post is this...

When you find DO eventually find out the truth [It will come out eventually]...

That they're "just not that into you" [Watch the film!]
Cut your losses.
Move ON.

Because there is definitely somebody out there for you.

Find that somebody.
You deserve that somebody!!

All set?

Go.

Deal Breakers & Sealers

So you think you've found the girl/guy of your dreams...
And not a day passes without an image of their face appearing in your mind...
The wind seems to rustle and whisper their name...
It's become an addiction. [You have a specific somebody in mind as you're reading this, right?!]
You've become obsessed.
-But no fear.

Well done.
You've succeeded the task of finding somebody.
But now, how do you proceed from here?

Be careful my friend... tread carefully.

Here are some light pieces of advice for YOUR personal use:

Deal breakers:

  • Dissing your ex.[ Potentially bad because: a) You don't want to make it sound like a competition and b) Indicates that ONE DAY you could be talking about the *current* individual the same way one day. -Not good]
  • "Playing" - Because if your date walks and talks like a player... Chances are, they're could be...a player! [Look out for: cliched lines, pushing for intimacy]
  • Clingy-ness ["hi... Just checking to see if you got my last message? No? Ok. Call me!] Rule of three can be applied here (MAXIMUM) if no reply? Benefit of doubt and consider moving on.
Deal sealers
  • Common courtesy- [P's and Q's, Holding doors open, laughing at the bad jokes xD]
  • Calling when you say you will [applies to both genders- sending simple txt messages "Good night" :) - such a sealer!]
  • Being honest [I.e. If you're seeing more than one person, let them know.]
  • Remembering things about them [Favourite movie genres/ice-cream/food etc]
  • Hugs! [Just do it. People need to hug more often!]

You could be holding your dream gal/guy in your arms soon!!
So good luck!!

Have some fun out there and most importantly:
Be cool!!- i.e. Be yourself! [In small quantities]

How to Install Love...

-Unknown Author

Tech Support:
Hello … how can I help you?

Customer: Well, after much consideration, I’ve decided to install Love. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Customer: Well, I’m not very technical, but I think I’m ready. What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?

Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running ?

Customer: Let’s see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off ?

Customer: I don’t know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased.

Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, “Error- Program not run on external components.” What should I do?

Tech Support: Don’t worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.

Customer: So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Customer: Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the “My Heart” directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Hehe, very sweet right?

Love,
